Nescafé Clásico
The project was a massive team effort, bringing together talent from around the world. In the weeks leading up to the shoot, we tested each shot to ensure that every milky foam peak, coffee pour and rig would be executed flawlessly, just like our "perfect roast". One of the more technical shots of the spot was the coffee bean crash. This was the ultimate example of a "group effort". We started off with coffee bean models made by the same SFX team that designed the special effects in Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio". We then shot the models crashing at high speed against a black backdrop. On set, we shot 360-degree plates of our kitchen background. Finally, the talented VFX team at Hogarth combined these elements and brought them to life, creating the dynamic collision that you see here.
